ABOUT THE TOUR.

MapMyRide Routes:

23 Mile Vineyard Bike Tour Route

43 Mile Vineyard Bike Tour Route

57 Mile Vineyard Bike Tour Route

All 2024 Bike tour routes have been created and will be posted on the website/app MapMyRide to make directions as easy as possible. The routes are also marked on the roads, along with printed directions held at the event site.

Due to construction happening in Lawton, the routes have been adjusted to help avoid construction and detour routes. There is a new location for the Lawton SAG stop, which will be held at Lawton Elementary! As well, there will no longer be a SAG stop location for the 23 mile route, due to the new route.

*Please note that the route lengths vary and may change due to construction

The Vineyard Classic Bicycle Tour will take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024 and is part of the annual Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival, the tour is hosted by KELC Events. The Wine and Harvest Festival features many amazing activities such as arts and crafts, winery tours, entertainment, grape stomping, parades and grapes for tasting just to name a view. Visit their website at wineandharvestfestival.com!

The Vineyard Classic Bike tour travels past lush vineyards and orchards at the peak of harvest season. Cyclists pass by woodlands, lakes, rivers, and neighboring villages and have the option to choose from three different length routes (23, 43 or 57 mile distances). Please note that there are a few minor adjustments to the route which really enhance the experience and makes it easier to follow.

A big thank you to Gary Gocenski for always keeping an eye to those routes so that they are more enjoyable. One of the things that we love about hosting this event is paying attention to our SAG support stops, working with Black River Radio group, providing interactive route maps, making those road markings visible, and making sure that we are there to help.

Registration starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 9:00 a.m. The tour starts between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., depending on when you're ready to begin. Ideally, we would like to have everyone on the road by 9:00am as the course closes at 3:00 pm. The starting location is at the Van Buren County Human Services Building, located at801 Hazen Street, Paw Paw MI, 49079 - just North of Red Arrow Highway. And, yes, there will be a portajon at the bike registration this year -no traveling down the road.
Helmets are required.
All proceeds go for college internships in Southwest Michigan.
